Several of the thousands of recognitions and proclamations awarded to L. Ron Hubbard in acknowledgment of his contributions as an author, humanitarian and the Founder of Dianetics and Scientology.

Founder
AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS

All told, L. Ron Hubbard’s works on Dianetics and Scientology comprise the largest cohesive statement on the human mind and spirit—more than 10,000 writings and 3,000 recorded lectures. Contained therein are answers to life’s most profound mysteries: the enigma of existence, the riddle of death, the realization of states not even described in earlier literature. Also from these works come Scientology technologies for raising children, repairing families, educating, organizing and providing relief in times of illness and suffering.

L. Ron Hubbard Day – Office of the Governor, Island of Guam

Awarded to Mr. Hubbard in studying “more than twenty cultures including the [native] Chamorro culture to arrive at his dynamic principle of existence: ‘survive.’ Through years of research and writing he has helped millions of people find joy in themselves and through helping others.”

As for the impact those answers and technologies have on the day-to-day lives of individuals, families and communities throughout the world, there is the telling proclamation presented to Mr. Hubbard from the Governor of the Island of Guam. That some of L. Ron Hubbard’s earliest research into the nature of the human mind took place in Guam is not forgotten, for as then-Governor Michael W. Cruz states, “Mr. Hubbard studied more than twenty cultures including [Guam’s native] Chamorro culture to arrive at his dynamic principle of existence: ‘survive.’ Through years of research and writing he has helped millions of people find joy in themselves and through helping others.”

And while L. Ron Hubbard’s decades of work in the development and codification of Dianetics and Scientology comprises thousands of writings and lectures, his first major work on the subject—Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health—continues to garner accolades even decades after its original publication.

Century Award – Publishers Weekly magazine

Awarded to L. Ron Hubbard, “author of the number one bestselling self-help book of all time” and “in commemoration of the appearance of Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health on Publishers Weekly bestseller list for 100 weeks.”

In evidence of its popularity is the Publishers Weekly Century Award, bestowed upon L. Ron Hubbard as: “Author of the number one bestselling self-help book of all time. In commemoration of the appearance of Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health on Publishers Weekly bestseller list for 100 weeks.”

Venus de Oro – National Festival of the Arts, Caracas, Venezuela

Presented to Mr. Hubbard for “his technology for the improvement of the individual and the creative abilities of human beings.”

While considering the influence of his philosophic work upon the field of the arts, it is only fitting that a National Festival of the Arts in Caracas, Venezuela, presented L. Ron Hubbard with the prestigious Venus de Oro, for “his technology for the improvement of the individual and the creative abilities of human beings.”

Mr. Hubbard’s writings and philosophy also reach deep into another hub of Latin America, with Mexico’s National Association of Journalists bestowing the Sol de Oro Award upon L. Ron Hubbard in “recognition of talent and artistic merit,” proclaiming Dianetics as “the mental science of the future.”

Yet when speaking of the international scope of Mr. Hubbard’s work, there is also all he has done to bring real answers to cultures throughout Europe and Central Asia.

Included in those communities now benefiting from Dianetics and Scientology is the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, where the National Library presented L. Ron Hubbard with a statue in recognition of his achievements as a philosopher and writer, as well as his technology now successfully applied by the country’s artists and citizens to the betterment of their culture.
